Because We Care

At Mad-Dog Tail Waggers, we want to give our clients the most enjoyable experience, one that will keep them coming back to our shop time and time again. That’s why we believe that our store policies should be fair, clear and transparent. Below you’ll find our policy and consent form. Liability

I understand Mad-Dog Tail Waggers will do their utmost to protect the health and safety of my pet while on their premises and under their care. I acknowledge that accidents, however, can and do happen and I hereby absolve Mad-Dog Tail Waggers from any and all responsibility involving injury, escape, damage, or disease during and after their grooming time at Mad-Dog Tail Waggers.


Emergency

In the event of an emergency, I authorize Mad-Dog Tail Waggers to immediately seek professional veterinarian attention for my pet (at the owner's expense). I understand that all attempts will be made to contact me in the event of an emergency.


Fear/Anxiety/Stress (FAS)

I understand that grooming can be stressful for pets, and I will inform the groomer if my pet has any heart conditions or stress-related issues prior to grooming. I understand that Mad-Dog Tail Waggers is committed to making grooming a positive experience for my pet. I understand that treats, praise, and petting may be used to distract and reward my pet, and I will inform my groomer if my pet has any dietary or health restrictions. If my pet exhibits high levels of FAS when grooming is attempted, I may be referred to my veterinarian for medically supervised grooming. I understand that ensuring a positive experience can extend the time required to complete a groom, so I may need to bring my pet in for several grooming sessions at smaller time increments rather than a single extended-stay appointment. My groomer may provide me with training exercises to complete at home to help desensitize my pet to handling and grooming.


**I understand that it is my responsiblility to have a ride arranged for drop off and pick up times during my appointment. I understand that Mad-Dog Tail Waggers takes pride in keeping their environment as stress-free as possible. If my pet is not picked up within 30 minutes of being finished and is disruptive to the other clients, I understand that a $15 fee may be applied to my total for every 30 minutes that they are there past my service completion time. 


Coat Condition

I understand that Mad-Dog Tail Waggers puts my pet’s comfort and health above all else. In the event that my pet’s coat is matted, I understand that the groomer may have to shave the matts out rather than perform a painful dematting procedure. I also understand that if my pet is severely matted, that there is an increased risk for clipper burn or cuts to occur. I understand that all attempts will be made to prevent this; however, in many extreme conditions it is unavoidable. I also understand that matted pets take additional time to groom resulting in an additional fee being added on to the regular grooming price.


Health

I understand that state law requires that my pet is currently on distemper and rabies vaccinations prior to every grooming.  If I cannot provide proof of vaccination, my pet will not be groomed until proven otherwise. I will inform Mad-Dog Tail Waggers of any changes in my pet’s health status each time I drop them off for grooming. This includes, but is not limited to, illnesses, parasites, and medications. I understand if Mad-Dog Tail Waggers feels my pet needs immediate medical attention that I may be contacted to pick my pet up from a  veterinary clinic.


Cancellation Policy

I understand that if I need to change or cancel my appointment time, that I must give at least a 24 hour notice so that the appointment time can be made available to another client. **Failure to show up to the scheduled appointment or give proper notice may lead to a $20 fee. 


Payment

I understand that payment is due the day of the grooming unless stated otherwise and approved by Mad-Dog Tail Waggers. ** Acceptable payment methods are venmo, cash, card, and check.
